After you complete our academy, you’ll be matched with a driver mentor for on-the-road training. After that, you can select any co-driver who lives in your area – even a friend or spouse.

The CRST Driving Experience
Attend one of our trusted programs to earn your CDL-A and have a guaranteed job upon completion within four weeks. Learn from experienced CRST truckers and enjoy comforts like room and board with Wi-Fi, movie room and coffee, of course. With our unique blend of classroom learning and hands-on training, you’ll be well prepared for your first drive.

A GOOD PRE-TRIP INSPECTION IS KEY.
You will hear this many times in training, but it's important. Not only will you avoid CSA violations, but you guarantee your safety and that of others on the road. We all know that time is important in trucking, but don't be afraid to take your time doing a thorough pre-trip inspection like you were taught.

Safety first, above all. Don't let yourself be distracted by screens or sightseeing on the road. Trucking is a great way to see the country, but remember you have a job to do. Get a good night of sleep and eat right so you can stay focused.

I came home to my last eviction notice.
It was the worst day of my life, and it’s also when I made the best decision of my life to stop banging my head against the wall and start over as a truck driver. I did CRST's training and had a job in my hands the day I graduated.
I became a driver for three simple reasons.
They are Nicolas, Martina and Sofia. When I come home, I’m proud that I can provide for them. I'm ahead of my bills because of CRST's generous pay and benefits. Now, I can put money away for all of our futures.
I had no car, no experience and nowhere to go.
Going into debt at a trade school was going to take years, and still wouldn't guarantee me a stable job, let alone a career I could count on. Being a truck driver provides me the flexibility and stability that I want. I hope to purchase my own truck in the future.
